Role Overview
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Learning Mentor to join our pastoral team.
You should have a proven track record of creating, leading and developing a variety of programmes to raise attendance, achievement and self-esteem of students and if successful whole school interventions working with individuals and groups across all key stages. You should be committed to working with a range of students from a wide range of ethnic and social backgrounds to remove barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of Learning Mentors to ensure students are effectively supported and make best progress.
- Coordinate and lead whole school interventions and programmes to raise attendance, achievement and self-esteem.
- Work across key stages to remove barriers to learning for students from diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good working knowledge of the Early Help system.
- Experience of safeguarding and Designated Safeguarding Lead training.
- Experience leading teams and managing pastoral programmes.
Legal and Safeguarding
The role will require successful completion of pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS, Prohibition Check, medical fitness, right to work verification and relevant qualifications.
