We are seeking a well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher with a TLR for Deputy Head of Year to join our successful pastoral team at Swanshurst School.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a key member of the Year Team alongside the Head of Year.
  • Oversee and promote excellent attendance across the year group.
  • Contribute to the school's well-established pastoral care programme and support pupil outcomes.
  • Implement safeguarding and child protection protocols in line with WMAT policy.
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

  • Teacher with a Teacher Learning and Development (TLR) licence.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience with pupils aged 11‑19.
  • Successful completion of enhanced DBS and Prohibition Checks.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English (satisfying Part 7 of the Immigration Act).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to adhere to the school's safeguarding policy.
