£40,777 – £45,091 per year. This role is a permanent position working 37 hours a week. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Drainage Engineer to join the Highways Maintenance team.
In this role, you will play a vital part in managing flood risk across the City and County of Swansea, ensuring the delivery of statutory duties under the Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and the Flood Risk Regulations 2009.
The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing the Authority\’s Flood Risk Management Plan and developing technical engineering solutions to mitigate flooding in vulnerable communities. They will oversee the delivery of the Highway Drainage Capital Programme, ensuring projects are completed within budget and to specification. The role involves providing expert technical advice on drainage proposals, including formal approvals and consents, and acting as a consultant on drainage matters for developers, internal departments, and other risk management authorities.
