About The Role

Fixed Term for 12 months – full-time.

This post will work within the Secure eResearch Platform (SeRP) business team and across wider SeRP teams to facilitate the ongoing management and development of SeRP tenancies, delivering the following functions:

  1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Secure eResearch Platform (SeRP) tenancies, including the facilitation of business and technical functions
  2. Lead relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver SeRP’s role in providing high quality research platform services
  3. Develop and improve processes agreed with SeRP programmes and tenancies, including the delivery and management of policies and procedures
  4. Assist the SeRP Business Administration and Development teams with cost recovery, forecasting, and account management for SeRP tenancies
  5. Line manage SeRP administrators as necessary in order to operate the SeRP portfolio
  6. Develop best practice in administering a research platform, including overseeing the operations of data management, data access, and user management
  7. Manage interactions between internal teams to deliver an optimum service to end users of SeRP technical services, including leading liaison between business, legal, data, and technical teams
  8. Obtain feedback with responsibility for operationalising it, after adaptations have been finalised with senior management
  9. Train end users of the SeRP platform at the initial engagement with them for access to our research platforms, using existing frameworks.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 – A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
