About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the REACH-PSM programme, an international collaboration focused on developing sustainable and circular manufacturing pathways for next-generation perovskite solar modules.
The postholder will contribute to experimental research on the remanufacturing, reuse and re-processing of mesoporous carbon perovskite solar modules, including substrate recovery, ink reformulation, materials recovery and repeat device fabrication. The role brings together materials science, device engineering and sustainable manufacturing, with a focus on supporting the translation of laboratory innovation toward scalable and deployable manufacturing approaches.
You will be part of the Applied Photochemistry Group and the SPECIFIC Innovation and Knowledge Centre at Swansea University, working within a supportive, interdisciplinary research environment with access to excellent facilities and strong industrial partnerships. The role involves close collaboration with UK and international partners, including capacity-building activities in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, contributing to positive societal impact in energy access and sustainable manufacturing.
The successful candidate will be supported to develop their research profile, contribute to publications and project outputs, engage with external partners and participate in the development of future research activities, while helping to advance the growing field of circular photovoltaics.
