About The Role

An exciting opportunity to join the Brand and Content team as a Content Assistant – helping to shape and share Swansea University’s story across digital platforms.

This role forms a vital part of the Brand and Content team, supporting a variety of marketing activities for a broad range of audiences, with a primary focus on future students.

You’ll assist in the creation and curation of content for a range of digital channels, helping to tell the Swansea Story through engaging social media content. This includes supporting the management of the University’s primary owned social media channels, with a particular focus on growing audiences on TikTok and Instagram.

You’ll work closely with other Content Assistants and colleagues across the team to ensure regular content is created and planned in line with a strategic content calendar. You’ll also support the development and delivery of upcoming campaigns and assist in maintaining a consistent content schedule across platforms.

You’ll play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of a strategic content calendar, ensuring regular and engaging content is produced across all key campaigns. This includes capturing and creating a variety of content that showcases student life at Swansea – from Instagram Reels and TikToks to video and photography – aligned with key moments such as Open Days, Varsity, Graduation, Freshers, Swansea Science Festival and the R&I Awards.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and creative, with experience in creating content for digital channels, particularly TikTok and Instagram, and a passion for storytelling through short-form video and visual content.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 – A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
