About The Role

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to employ a Research Assistant to provide research and administrative support to the AHRC IAA Research Impact Sustainability Lead.

Several AHRC Impact Acceleration Projects since 2022 have created research impact resources which have the potential for further development and to be targeted on new users. There is a need to research potential new beneficiaries, conduct new research impact activities, capture the uptake and analyse the outcomes. The focus will be on projects that have developed a wide range of educational, community and exhibition resources which achieved substantial impact in their original pilot/case study.

The aim would be to develop the sustainability of their impacts through work with schools, community organisations and heritage/cultural organisations. This Impact sustainability project will be overseen by a Lead working in conjunction with the original principal investigators of the impact projects.

Welsh Language Skills

The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 – A little. The role holder will be able to pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon) and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1 hour course.
