Job overview: Ensure the day to day efficient and safe working of all building services within the Health Board healthcare establishments. This will require a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of the operation of a wide range of structures, construction methods, fabrics, fittings and finishes within designated healthcare premises.
Advert: The post holder may need to work at heights using ladders, cradles, zip-ups and scaffolding as and when required and after receiving the appropriate training. Ensure that all work areas are maintained in a safe, secure and tidy manner. At times undertake duties as a lone worker throughout the Health Board. Drive/operate plant, machinery and Health Board vehicles as directed following appropriate training. Undertake duties in a safe and efficient manner working within Health Board and departmental Health & Safety policies and procedures. Participate in an on-call rota as required by the Health Board to ensure that emergency repairs/situations are attended to. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
