An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and motivated registered Mental Health Nurse (Clinical Lead) to join the team at Ward F, a 21‑bed adult mental health treatment ward.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate passion for working in mental health services and unscheduled care.
  • Work alongside the multidisciplinary team to assess, treat and prepare patients for safe discharges.
  • Support, lead and develop the team on Ward F.
  • Show drive and passion for trauma‑informed care, and demonstrate effective leadership and change‑management skills.
  • Maintain high standards of evidence‑based nursing care through regular audits of nursing paperwork and supervision of Band 5 nurses.
  • Deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence.
  • Role‑model compassionate care, leading by example and engaging with staff and the Ward Manager regularly.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with Band 5/6 level experience.
  • Relevant experience in adult mental health care.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and change‑management abilities.
  • Commitment to evidence‑based practice and quality audit.

Language Requirement

Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
