The Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service is Wales' aeromedical response service based across 4 locations in Wales. Working alongside this, is the Adult Critical Care Transfer Service which is a Critical Care Road base transfer team working across 2 locations in North and South Wales.
Both of these teams rely on high quality, effective and efficient support teams to support them in delivering front line care to some of the sickest patients in Wales.
We are seeking to strengthen our existing support team, with the creation of an Operational Support apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to gain valuable on the job experience whilst supporting front line services and having the opportunity to work towards a qualification during the apprentice period.
If you are looking for a new opportunity that will provide education, support and guidance then this might be the role for you., With support and guidance from existing staff and managers, the Operational Support apprentice will learn to provide support to the clinical teams across the service in a defined location/ region.
This will consist of both administrative and stores function to ensure that the clinical teams in the area are able to function effectively and efficiently.
The daily workload will include regular stock checks, ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained, ordering of stock, providing logistical support to the service by moving items around Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Services (EMRTS) /Adult Critical Care Team (ACCTS) bases, ensuring vehicles are maintained and ready for use as well as provisions of administration support as required
The successful candidate will work towards a qualification as part of their apprenticeship
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
