We have an exciting new career development for friendly, enthusiastic and highly motivated people to join our expanding Pharmacy team in Singleton Hospital pharmacy, Swansea Bay University Health Board. This person will work closely with pharmacy colleagues to provide an efficient and robust supply of chemotherapy to inpatients and outpatients at Singleton Hospital. You must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
Main duties of the job:- Within the Dispensary, you will dispense prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients, as well as greeting patients and staff at our reception.
- You will support the procurement strategy, monitor storage, provide stock co-ordination and supply of pre-filled chemotherapy on a day-to-day basis.
- You will work closely with the dispensary team and support members of the ward pharmacy team with supply of medication and processing of discharge prescription dispensing.
- You will support the education and training of new staff as required.

Person Specification:- Qualifications & Knowledge: 5 GCSE A to C grade or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous successful experience of working in a hospital or community pharmacy.
- Aptitude and Abilities: Able to carry out verbal and written instructions accurately. Able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and written. Ability to work to a full range of local pharmacy codes and procedures. Be computer literate, being able to use Microsoft Office and have basic keyboard skills.
- Other Essential Criteria: Able to work autonomously, and work effectively as part of a team. Well organised.
