Responsibilities and Requirements
- Providing support and assistance for the Foundation Dentists and Trainers, and Dentists in providing high quality dental care to patients.
- Responsible for the effective, efficient preparation and maintenance of a multi-disciplinary dental clinic, maintaining a high level of cross infection control in all clinical areas.
- Managing clinical time, including clinical appointments, prioritisation and management.
- When not assisting in the surgeries, nurses are expected to provide administrative support.
- Nurses are expected to be able to carry out their duties without direct supervision.
- Individual responsibility for the preparation and organisation of the dental surgeries where clinical procedures will be undertaken.
- Ensuring compliance to LHB Health and Safety standards and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness within the department.
- Work independently and have accountability for one's own actions when delivering dental nursing care.
Language: The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
