We are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative on behalf of our client. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual looking for a long-term position, with the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working within a busy recycling and waste management yard
- Sorting and separating recyclable materials
- Loading and unloading materials
- Manual handling and heavy lifting throughout the shift
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Following all health and safety procedures
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse, yard operative, labouring or similar hands-on experience
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Able to work in a noisy industrial environment
- Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious
- Safety boots are required
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Experience working within a recycling, waste management or similar environment
