Temporary (with potential for a permanent position) About the Role We are looking for an experienced and reliable

PCB Assembly Technician to join our team on a temporary, part-time basis.

The role will initially involve

8 hours per week , with flexibility for these hours to be worked either as one full day or spread across multiple days , depending on mutual agreement.

For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to move into a permanent role of up to 16 hours per week from September , subject to business requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) to a high standard.
  • Carry out through-hole and surface-mount component assembly.
  • Perform hand soldering, rework and repairs as required.
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Interpret assembly drawings, bills of materials (BOMs) and work instructions.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Ensure all work is completed to the required quality standards and timescales.

Essential Requirements

Previous PCB assembly experience is essential.

  • Good hand soldering skills.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly documentation and drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good manual dexterity and practical skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with surface-mount (SMT) assembly and rework.
  • Basic electronic testing or fault-finding experience.
