The Role
We are recruiting for a reliable and organised Storeman to join a busy and friendly team in Blandford Forum. Working as part of a two-person stores team, you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the stores, ensuring stock is accurately managed, and the warehouse remains clean, organised and operating effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or stores experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position with a well-established company.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking goods in and checking deliveries against purchase orders.
- Booking goods out accurately for dispatch.
- Picking and packing customer orders.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised stores environment.
- Carrying out regular stock takes and inventory checks.
- Maintaining an effective FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation system.
- Working closely with the second member of the stores team to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
About You
- Previous warehouse or stores experience is essential.
- Forklift licence (advantageous, not essential).
- Experience with goods in, goods out, stock control and order picking.
- Good attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
- Reliable, proactive and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
Salary & Benefits
- £28,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (no weekends).
- Full-time, permanent position.
- 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
