We are partnering with a well-established, family-run business to recruit a talented Management Accountant. The Role

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial insight and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. You will work closely with Directors and senior leaders, helping to translate financial data into meaningful guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including income statements, balance sheets, and supporting reports
  • Analyse financial performance and provide clear commentary on variances and trends
  • Identify areas for improvement and present actionable recommendations to senior management
  • Support and collaborate with the wider finance team across day-to-day operations
  • Review and enhance financial systems, processes, and controls where necessary
  • Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders
  • Assist with purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, and other finance functions as required
  • Ensure compliance with current financial regulations and standards
  • Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies when needed
  • Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and tasks

About You

  • AAT qualified (Association of Accounting Technicians)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Strong grounding in accounting principles and financial management
  • Experience in bookkeeping and financial data processing
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, medium-sized business environment
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to support across the finance function
  • Able to meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) requirements
