A warm, informal family is seeking an experienced, reliable and discreet Housekeeper to join their household in rural Dorset, close to the Dorset/Somerset border. This is a varied role combining general housekeeping with occasional light childcare and family support. The family has two school-aged children who are at school during the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Full housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, ironing and organisation.
  • Preparing simple family meals when required.
  • Occasional school pickups and light childcare.
  • Supporting the children's after-school routine when needed.
  • Helping to ensure the household runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Using initiative and maintaining high standards throughout the home.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years private housekeeping experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and own reliable car.
  • Strong spoken English and good communication skills.
  • Flexible, approachable and able to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, responsible and reliable.
  • Excellent written references.

This position is ideally suited to candidates based around Gillingham, Templecombe, Tisbury or the surrounding areas, due to the rural location and working hours.
