About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented craftsperson to join our client's specialist production team. Working on exceptional bespoke lighting, furniture and decorative installations for prestigious private residences, luxury hospitality projects and discerning international clients, you will play a vital role in delivering products of the highest quality and craftsmanship. This is a varied and hands-on position involving the finishing of bespoke pieces across a wide range of materials and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete products to exacting quality standards.
- Apply a variety of traditional, decorative and specialist finishing techniques to bespoke products.
- Undertake processes including:
- HVLP paint spraying
- Chemical oxidisation and patination
- Acid etching
- Gilding
- Glass cutting and glazing
- Bonding and assembly
- Application of protective coatings and surface treatments
- Carry out quality inspections throughout the finishing process to ensure products meet company and client expectations.
- Assemble and wire products ready for installation.
- Assist with product testing and certification, including compliance with CE and UL standards where required.
- Identify and resolve finishing challenges while maintaining the highest levels of craftsmanship and consistency.
- Work efficiently to achieve production deadlines without compromising quality.
- Support other departments and assist with additional duties as required to meet business needs.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing outstanding quality work.
- Experience in finishing, decorative metalwork, paint spraying or related craft-based manufacturing environments.
- A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn specialist in-house techniques.
- Experience with electrical assembly and wiring would be advantageous but is not essential.
