This is a permanent position.
Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented FAIR Administrator to support their quality and inspection function. This role plays a key part in ensuring First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) are completed accurately and in full compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will operate in the capacity of a FAIR Inspector (administratively), working closely with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to collate, verify, and manage all supporting documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Operate in the capacity of a FAIR Inspector from an administrative and documentation perspective.
- Ensure all component documentation (e.g. Certificates of Conformance, Chain of Custody, batch numbers, process certifications, etc.) meets customer FAIR requirements.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any documentation discrepancies.
- Navigate internal company systems and records to collate relevant information.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues to obtain and verify required documentation.
- Work closely with metalwork inspection personnel to address any inspection-related discrepancies.
- Populate and maintain formal FAIR records in compliance with applicable standards (including AS9102).
- Compile, edit, and manage PDF documentation and supporting evidence.
- File documentation in a structured and auditable manner for future retrieval.
- Ensure all work is self-checked and submission-ready for FAIR Reviewer approval.
- Manage and maintain the FAIR MRI (Master Record Index).
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editing tools.
- Working knowledge of the AS9102 quality standard.
- Familiarity with customer FAIR requirements.
- Experience working in a busy office or administrative environment.
- Previous experience in quality, technical, or engineering environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
- Ability to meet all requirements for Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
- 37-hour working week
- Hybrid working (50/50) after successful completion of 12-week probation
