The Role
We are recruiting a team of Agricultural Cleaning Operatives to support our client with their annual pre-harvest hygiene programme. The role involves cleaning and preparing grain stores and silos ready for the new crop harvest. This is a physically demanding, team-based role that requires working at heights and in confined spaces. Full induction training and third-party certification will be provided during the first week of the contract.
Training & Certification (Week 1)
- Full induction training and independent certification delivered by approved third-party training providers, including:
- Confined Space Working & Rescue
- Powered Access Platform (MEWP) Operation
- Working at Heights
These industry-recognised certificates are retained by operatives at the end of the contract - a valuable benefit for future employment. Due to the significant investment in training, we are seeking candidates who are fully committed to completing the full length of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing grain stores and silos for the new harvest
- Removing dust, debris, and residues from previously stored crops
- Using high-pressure air lances and industrial vacuum equipment
- Working safely at heights and within confined spaces
- Following all health, safety, and site-specific procedures
- Working as part of a close-knit operational team
Candidate Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of manual, demanding work
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to work in dusty environments and wear respiratory PPE
- No respiratory conditions such as asthma or serious dust-related allergies
- Strong team player with a reliable work ethic
- Willing to commit to the full duration of the contract
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work locations and conditions
A balanced, capable team is essential to ensure smooth operations throughout the season. This is a team effort, and all members are expected to contribute fully.
Working Hours
- Monday - Friday: 06:00 - 18:00
- Saturday: 06:00 - 14:00 (Hours may vary depending on workload and site requirements)
