We are seeking to appoint a teacher of French and Spanish to join our Modern Foreign Languages department from September 2026. We are looking for a teacher who plans and delivers well-structured lessons, supports all pupils to make strong progress, and contributes positively to the work of the department. There is the requirement to teach French to KS4 and Spanish to at least KS3.
Our MFL department is well established and successful, with strong uptake at GCSE. While we are proud of our outcomes, our wider aim is to develop “Linguists for Life”. Alongside preparing pupils for examinations, we focus on equipping them with the skills and confidence to continue learning languages beyond the classroom. Our curriculum encourages pupils to become logical linkers, problem solvers, cognate explorers, global citizens, culture vultures and confident communicators.
The role includes working collaboratively with colleagues to develop teaching and learning, supporting pupils of all abilities to achieve well, and contributing to the wider life of the department, including enrichment opportunities. This post would suit either an Early Career Teacher or a more experienced colleague.
