About the Role: Project Managers play a key role at Swanky, communicating constantly with client teams and helping to coordinate and manage our expert teams. You will be joining the UK New Build teams, working on large eCommerce projects with a particular focus on migrations to Shopify Plus. Your responsibilities will include:
- Lead multiple projects from initiation to completion using Agile methodologies, with a focus on large and enterprise-sized Shopify builds.
- Oversee project teams and ensure effective collaboration between developers, designers, and other key stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular client meetings, including sprint playbacks and project progress reviews, addressing any concerns and adapting plans as needed.
- Develop project timelines, set budgets, and ensure all deliverables are aligned with client goals.
- Build and manage strong client relationships, fostering trust and ensuring high levels of satisfaction, while delivering commercially successful projects that meet client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and mitigate project risks by taking proactive measures and fostering effective collaboration between internal teams and clients to ensure project success.
- Conduct post-project reviews and retrospectives, identifying lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
- Support R&D initiatives, including conducting workshops to gather requirements, explore innovative solutions, and provide clear, comprehensive documentation to guide project direction and execution.
- Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform developments and eCommerce industry trends, ensuring Swanky’s projects remain cutting‑edge.
Required Skills:
- 4+ years of Project Management experience in the eCommerce sector.
- Comprehensive understanding of Shopify as an eCommerce platform, along with its broader ecosystem, including third-party apps, integrations, and how they enhance functionality and performance.
- Methodical and highly organized, capable of closely following established procedures while knowing when to innovate and adapt to unique challenges.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to think clearly and logically under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude and strong organization throughout.
- Proven experience collaborating with departmental heads, managers, and other key stakeholders to build effective teams and delegate tasks efficiently.
- Strong track record of managing project scope, deliverables, timelines, and priorities, while successfully managing client expectations and negotiating necessary adjustments.
- Excellent client relationship management and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on fostering long‑term partnerships.
- Sharp critical thinking skills that enable you to guide teams toward success, even in challenging situations.
- Demonstrated experience in leading both technical and creative teams in collaborative environments.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, adept at balancing multiple concurrent projects and their competing priorities.
