An Environmental focused Senior Engineer, HSE is required to join the team at Basingstoke, UK. The main responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Production of project Environmental deliverables (EIA, EA, ESHIA, HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, Scopes of Works for third parties (EBS, EIAs etc)).
- Organising and attending safety workshops (ENVID, SIMOPS).
- Attending ENVIDs.
- Liaising with clients and external stakeholders.
- Oversight of specialist contractors to achieve project deadlines and required quality.
- Act as part of the Safety and Environment team across projects, potentially acting as the Project Discipline Leader on individual projects.
- Advising projects on HSE regulatory compliance.
- Managing third party contractors where required.
- Prepare, discuss and close tenderer clarifications, prepare HSE score and technical bid evaluation report.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience working on energy projects, including oil and gas design projects.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high quality deliverables on schedule.
- UK regulatory knowledge (onshore and offshore).
- Experience of working to IFC and world bank standards.
- Demonstrable experience in safety / environmental engineering.
- Ability to prepare high quality environmental engineering documentation.
- Ability to critically review others' work (both internally and third parties).
- Experience in procurement phase of projects.
- CCS experience is a plus.
- Experience in site surveys.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Microsoft Office proficient.
- Project experience.
- Technical Bid Evaluation experience.
- Experience of working within multinational FEED projects.
- Team Player - willing to develop and learn new skills as well as sharing existing knowledge with others.
