The candidate will be part of the UK Materials & Corrosion team and will work with the MACO PDL in supporting the review of SURF deliverables from multiple contractors as part of a competitive FEED.
The candidate shall have detail design experience in the selection and testing of materials to ensure their integrity, durability, and safety in offshore oil and gas production systems (SPS) and Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF).
Responsibilities- Project discipline management: Planning of activities and the review of deliverables. Recording comments within the ASSAI document management tool. Periodical reporting of progress.
- Working with Pipelines, Subsea, Offshore Structures, supporting the review of the deliverables for: Material Selection, Welding & NDT, Painting & Coating, Insulation, Chemical Selection (corrosion inhibitors).
- Input into the TBE.
- Relevant Materials & Corrosion Degree.
- Experience with Materials & Corrosion requirements for a SURF FEED.
- Candidate should have deep knowledge in at least one of the following areas, and general knowledge in the others, as well as familiarity with applicable international standards (DNV, API, ISO, NORSOK, EEMUA, ASME, ASTM, etc):
- Corrosion mechanisms (H2S, CO2, halides, O2, etc).
- Subsea material selection and corrosion control.
- Cathodic protection design.
- Welding & NDT.
- Anticorrosion coatings and insulation systems.
