Swan London operates the bar, restaurant, courtyard and event spaces attached to Shakespeare’s Globe on Bankside. The long-term contract is run by a privately owned limited company called Swan at the Globe Ltd which comprises of high-quality restauranteurs, chefs, event sellers and creators. Swan London serves the audience at The Globe, Londoners at large and many tourists. Swan London manages the sale of events at Shakespeare’s Globe and in other central London venues. It has an events target of £4m. The two key on-site event spaces at the Globe are the Balcony Room and the Under globe. Events range from high-end, creative immersive experiences to bespoke events for Shakespeare’s Globe itself. Our clients are blue chip corporates, top agents, and HNW individuals.   • Salary between £38,000-£40,000
  • 45 hours a week over 7 days a week - office based
  • Up to 20% quarterly Bonus based on KPIs including achievement of budget
  • Holidays are 28 days inclusive of Bank Holidays, raising to 30 days after 3 years. Every year after an additional day is added to a total of 35 days.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver corporate and private events from initial concept through to completion
  • Provide clients with detailed informed guidance on menus, wines, timings, room set up, entertainment, AV and any other details necessary to arrange their events.
  • Closely liaise with clients to understand event objectives and requirements
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with other departments within Swan to ensure strong working relationships and the smooth delivery of events.
  • Manage event logistics, including menus, entertainment, AV, and supplier coordination.
  • Conduct site visits and client tastings to ensure a premium experience.
  • Coordinate logistics including deliveries, collections and equipment hire
  • Assist with day-to-day tasks; filling, printing, function sheets, updating event documents, and preparing event collateral
  • Ensure that all client data and event enquiries, bookings and updates are efficiently captured and managed on our CRM systems
  • Ensure event invoices are created in a timely manner and are paid in accordance with due dates
  • Collaborate with the operations team for seamless event delivery.
  • Meet sales targets and contribute ideas to improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate event success and gather client feedback for continuous improvement
  • Carry out post-event feedback and reporting
  • Active & engaged member of the planning team.
  • Approachable and outgoing planning manner.
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required by Head of Planning
