Amazon Freight Europe is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Finance Manager to join the Finance Strategy & Expansion team to externalise the freight business, designing and delivering a world class freight experience for our customers. We are continuously innovating on behalf of Amazon customers to deliver larger selection quicker and at lower prices. In this role, you will drive profitability and customer experience by directly influencing the development, planning, and execution of our transportation network.
The role will require quickly learning operations to grasp the big picture in order to develop financial metrics. As part of this, you will need to communicate clearly and succinctly with business leaders to influence decisions with data. Working across Europe and North America, you will partner closely with Product, Program, Operations, and Commercial leaders to define the expansion strategy, proactively solving the challenges and opportunities that this creates.
In this impactful role, you will lead the long-term financial planning of Amazon Freight, collaborating with business stakeholders to shape strategies and investments for success. Your responsibilities will involve evaluating the merits of each investment, expansion initiative, and product offering to optimise profitability. Your insights and analyses will directly influence senior management decisions, guiding our path towards sustainable growth as we continue to rapidly scale.

Key job responsibilitiesThis position requires a broad set of skills to be successful, that range from high level strategic thinking to deep-dive analytical problem solving. Specifically:
- Collaborate and influence senior business partners to support tactical and strategic business decisions;
- Draft and present key documents to leadership, taking an idea from inception to implementation;
- Dive deep into the processes and cost drivers to enhance operating productivity.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits)
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent financial work experience
- CPA
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles
