Position Summary: At this level the associate solves the most complex process problems. They are able to make significant improvements to existing processes and develop new processes to address unique focusing on Product Containment. The Inspector must possess the physical ability to perform all job responsibilities. In addition, the Inspector must also have the ability to develop skills required to fulfill the technical, operational, and judgmental responsibilities.
Responsibilities include:
- Entry of records and documentation, in both written and electronic form.
- Provide unbiased disposition of product based on established quality requirements.
- Initiating corrective action for issues that could lead to the detriment of outgoing quality.
- Use discipline problem solving.
- Write and give input to help develop standard work instructions.
- Demonstrate effective participation in Lean Events given the opportunity.
- Implement and perform basic analysis of statistical process control techniques used in processes.
- Application of statistical sampling plans.
- Develop inspection methods for new products.
- Application of various operational procedures.
- Provide support, verification and maintenance of inspection equipment.
- Convey information pertaining to observed quality trends and issues.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Required: High School Education, Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and product/process specifications, Strong mathematic skills.
- Preferred: At least 2 years experience within a quality environment required.
Critical Competencies:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with applicable standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with applicable standards.
- Good vision: Must sustain effective visual inspection throughout shift.
- Manual Handling: able to perform the manual handling requirements of the role.
- Have appropriate manual dexterity to be able to properly handle parts and inspection equipment.
- Ability to move around work center and within the plant through a shift period.
