We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive Enhanced Access Receptionist to support the delivery of our PCN Enhanced Access service across Bridge Street Surgery and Manor Farm Medical Centre.
Main duties of the job:
- This is a patient-facing role and an important part of ensuring the smooth running of evening and weekend clinics across the PCN.
- The successful candidate will provide a warm and professional welcome to patients attending appointments, including those visiting from neighbouring practices, helping them feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit.
- The role will work closely with the Enhanced Access PCN Lead and wider clinical teams to ensure clinics run efficiently and patients receive a high standard of care and service.
- The postholder will also play a key role in supporting seasonal vaccination programmes, including the delivery of COVID vaccination campaigns during winter and spring periods.
The role alternates weekly between:
- Bridge Street Surgery
- Monday: 18:15pm - 20:00pm
- Thursday: 18:15pm - 20:00pm
- Saturday: 8:45am - 14:30pm
- Manor Farm Medical Centre
- Monday: 18:15pm - 20:00pm
- Friday: 18:15pm - 20:00pm
- Saturday: 8:45am - 14:30pm

Job responsibilities:
- Previous reception or administration experience.
- SystmOne/ EMIS experience (only one is essential, both desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working across different sites.
- Basic IT skills.
- Previous GP surgery or NHS experience.
- Knowledge of Enhanced Access services.
- Experience supporting vaccination clinics.
Person Specification:
- Experience using SystmOne and EMIS platforms.
- Reception experience in a medical setting.
- Experience of working in a GP practice.
