Hourly Rate: £16.41 - £19.49 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) + sleep ins

We are looking for a compassionate and driven Deputy Home Manager to join our 5-bed children’s Home in Farnborough to support the Registered Manager to deliver outstanding care to our young people, ensuring the home provides a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people feel supported and valued.
At SWAAY, we don’t just provide residential care – we create homes where children feel safe, valued and understood. We are proud of our child-centred approach and commitment to trauma-informed practice. For over 30 years, we have delivered specialist residential care, education and therapy for young males aged 11-18 who have experienced significant trauma and displayed harmful sexual behaviour. Our work focuses on reducing risk, addressing complex needs and empowering young people to move forward into safe, responsible and fulfilling adult lives.
As a Deputy Home Manager you will:
- Support with the day-to-day running of the home
- Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance
- Support, supervise and develop the staff team
- Promote trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
- Act as a positive role model for young people
- Support young people achieve personal goals and independence
- Assist with reports and regulatory requirements
To be a successful Deputy Home Manager at SWAAY, you will have:
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent e.g. Social Work Degree)
- Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma (or willingness to work towards)
- Previous experience working with children and young people in residential settings
- Experience in a senior role/deputy position with managerial responsibilities
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care
- Compassion, resilience and the ability to act as a positive role model to both the young people and staff team
