Job Description

Would you like to be part of a growing and ambitious Private Client team based in Tunbridge Wells, working across a variety of interesting and complex clients with the support of colleagues across the wider S&W business? As an S&W Private Client Tax Senior Manager you will manage a portfolio of clients and their families (including HNWIs, entrepreneurs/business owners and internationally mobile individuals), working closely with Partners/Directors to deliver advisory and compliance services. The role will also include business development in respect of new and existing clients, and mentoring/developing team members.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a varied portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs including HNWIs, entrepreneurs, partnerships and trusts
  • Assisting Partners and Directors with, and when suitable, take the lead on tax planning initiatives like succession planning through trusts and corporate structures, as well as addressing capital gains and inheritance tax concerns
  • Liaising with other service lines to deliver work to clients, for example accounts & corporate tax work
  • Overseeing compliance and fundamental advisory tasks completed by junior staff members
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients and supporting senior members of the team to identify opportunities for new work
  • Developing the more junior team including providing timely feedback and assisting them with technical and personal development

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Significant experience and knowledge of a variety of private client tax issues gained within another professional services firm
  • Proven technical knowledge and capability to communicate complex messages to your client base
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in tax planning/advisory projects as well as managing complex compliance issues
  • People management and organisational experience
  • Appetite to develop your business development skills

Qualifications

Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser - ACA / CTA.
