We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Research and Development Assistant Manager to join our team in London, United Kingdom. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and executing tax research projects, with a focus on R&D tax incentives and credits within the IT/ Software sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate tax research projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
- Analyse complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned solutions to clients and team members
- Stay abreast of changes in UK tax legislation, particularly those related to R&D tax credits
- Manage and mentor junior team members, overseeing their work and professional development
- Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients when necessary
- Prepare and review technical reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to the development of new service offerings and methodologies in R&D tax
- Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive tax solutions to clients
- Ensure compliance with internal quality control procedures and professional standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or related field
- Previous experience in tax research and development
- Proven experience in managing projects and teams
- Advanced knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations, particularly those related to R&D
- Expertise in UK tax legislation and HMRC guidelines
- Proficiency in tax research software and databases
