Job Description
We're looking for a talented individual to join our growing tax team as Corporate Tax Assistant Manager in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate tax professional to work with a diverse portfolio of business clients. This role will provide corporate tax services for a wide range of business clients. The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the preparation of corporate tax returns. You will also provide assistance to Directors/Partners in client work.
What will you be doing?
Client work
- Prepare corporate tax returns and computations
- Advise clients on corporate tax liabilities and payment dates
- Give exceptional client service and maintain regular contact with the client team
- Keep up-to-date technically
- Budgeting and monitoring compliance fees
Compliance
- Ensure procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant
- Ensure department KPIs are met around billing and recovery targets
Personal Development (Technical & Other)
- Reading; internal meetings; internal and external seminars and courses
- Awareness/interest in what other parts of the firm can do, to encourage cross-referrals
Qualifications
- Relevant corporate tax experience gained within the profession and/or industry
- Technically capable tax adviser who is able to assist in complex client work
- Strong IT skills
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA and/or CTA, ATT), or desire to work towards qualifications
