What will you be doing? We're seeking a talented individual to join our Digital Compliance Team in Bristol, although we will be flexible on location for the right individual. The team are responsible for continuous improvement within the internal business process to improve efficiencies, reduce risk and create a catalyst for change. You’ll have the opportunity to work with colleagues at all levels including Partners and Directors and gain considerable exposure to different areas of Tax, software and technology. You’ll be liaising with and managing communications with Partners to drive change within the business and identify improvements that can be put into action. Reporting to the Digital Director you’ll be responsible for driving innovation, developing automation and data analytic solutions. This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 6 months to be based at our Bristol office with office attendance expected to be 2 days per week as a minimum.
As the Digital Tax Compliance Team Lead, your responsibilities will include among others:
- Coordination of the tax technology solutions team on multiple projects, ensuring that teams are completing projects on time and working closely with technology vendors to ensure delivery of projects.
- The delivery of project work with key stakeholders; taking a lead role in the digitisation of the tax businesses, driving change within the business and building relationships to provide required support and training.
- Designing, developing and managing multiple compliance projects.
- Developing knowledge of new software and automation to support compliance processes.
- The production of reporting for weekly/ monthly stakeholder meetings.
- Staff & Stakeholder Management: management of secondees in the team, liaising with vendors and managing external projects.
Qualifications Skills and Experience To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Demonstrable experience of tax compliance projects and processes.
- Proven experience managing a project portfolio and evidence of working on process automation projects with the ability to present complex digital solutions simply to the wider Tax practice.
- IT skills including practical knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and project planning software.
- Experience in staff management/supervisory roles.
Desired:
- Tax/ Technology/ Project Management Qualifications or equivalent are desirable, but not essential.
- Any Personal Tax project / delivery experience is highly beneficial.
