SW Locums are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team with Northamptonshire Children’s Trust in Wellingborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a child-focused and supportive service committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families. The Safeguarding Team offers varied and rewarding frontline work, with strong management support and a collaborative multi-agency approach.

  • 38.00 per hour Umbrella
  • Full-time locum role
  • Immediate start available
  • Hybrid working expected 3 days per week in the office
  • Flexibility for cross-county visits
  • Hot-desking available across Northamptonshire offices

Duties Include:

  • Managing safeguarding and child protection cases
  • Completing statutory assessments and visits
  • Working directly with children and families
  • Attending core groups, strategy meetings, and court work where required
  • Developing plans that deliver long-term positive outcomes

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Previous Children’s Safeguarding experience
  • Strong assessment and communication skills
