Birmingham Children s Trust is looking for an experienced and passionate Children s Social Worker to join their Children with Disabilities Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a service rated Good by Ofsted in 2023, with strong recognition for leadership, safeguarding, partnership working, and corporate parenting.
As a Children s Social Worker, you will play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. You will work closely with families, carers, schools, health professionals, police, and voluntary organisations to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support.
The Children with Disabilities Service is a through-service, meaning you will support the child from initial assessment through Child in Need, Child Protection, or Child in Care plans, allowing you to build meaningful relationships and make a lasting impact. The team consists of a Team Manager, Senior Practitioner, and 6 Social Workers, creating a supportive and collaborative working environment. The service operates across two offices in Aston and Stirchley, both offering free parking.
