SW Locums are recruiting for three experienced Adult Social Workers to join the City Locality Team at Herefordshire Council on a full-time locum basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-established team covering Hereford City and the surrounding areas.
This is an ASAP start, initially for 3 months, with a strong likelihood of extension pending permanent recruitment.
Pay Rate:
- £31.29 per hour (Umbrella)
Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 37 hours per week
- Hybrid working
- Minimum of 2 days per week in the office (Wednesday and Thursday)
- Candidates must be able to attend duty visits when required.
Location:
Applicants should be located within approximately 1.5 hours of Hereford if commuting, to meet the team's hybrid working requirements.
The Role:
You will be working within the City Locality Team, managing a varied adult social care caseload and delivering high-quality, person-centred services. This is a hands-on role requiring experienced practitioners who can confidently manage complex cases from day one.
Experience Required:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Adult Social Care, covering at least 50% of the following areas:
- Older People and Young Adults
- Physical Disabilities
- Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)
- Mental Health
- Learning Disabilities
- Autism
- Complex casework
- Safeguarding
- Court of Protection
- Community DoLS
- Multi-Disciplinary Team working
- Care Planning
- Assessments and Reviews
- Support Planning
- Personal Budgets and Budget Requests
Essential Requirements:
- Recognised Social Work qualification (BA, MA, CQSW or DipSW)
- Current Social Work England registration
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and relevant adult social care legislation
