Medway Council is looking for an Experienced Social Worker to join its dedicated Children’s Services team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a council that continues to invest in its workforce, prioritise staff wellbeing, and strengthen outcomes for children and families across the region.

The Role
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality services and meet service plan objectives and targets while managing a varied caseload within Children’s Services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve service objectives and performance targets
- Participating in one-to-one Performance Development Reviews and supporting team development needs
- Promoting and supporting the Council’s Fair Access, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy
- Ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and all safe working practices
- Supporting the Council’s duty under Section 17 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 to help prevent crime and disorder
- Undertaking additional duties, as agreed by the Head of Service, in line with the role
