Stansted Veterinary Specialists (SVS) is a new, independent, multi-disciplinary, small animal referral clinic that opened in August 2025. Located less than one mile from London Stansted Airport, we benefit from excellent transport links to London and Cambridge. We are proudly independent and owned exclusively by the clinical team working within the practice, allowing us to focus entirely on delivering outstanding patient care while maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment. The Role

We are seeking a full-time Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine to join our growing medicine team, working alongside two established Internal Medicine Specialists within our expanding referral service. You will work closely with specialists in Anaesthesia and Analgesia, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Neurology, Oncology, and Surgery, supported by an experienced team of clinic vets, highly skilled veterinary nurses, and veterinary care assistants within the building 24/7.

Clinical Facilities

  • Complete rigid and flexible endoscopy suite
  • CT
  • Fluoroscopy
  • MRI
  • Dedicated Radioactive Iodine (I-131) isolation and treatment suite
  • Fully equipped and staffed inpatient facilities

Key Aspects of the Role

  • A full-time position comprising a four-day working week with a one-in-four on-call commitment
  • Management of advanced Small Animal Internal Medicine referral cases
  • Close collaboration with other Specialist disciplines
  • Contribution to the continued development of the Internal Medicine service
  • Participation in multidisciplinary case discussions
  • Teaching and mentorship of clinical staff

Requirements

  • Diplomate status of the ACVIM or ECVIM-CA, or completion of an approved residency working toward board certification
  • Veterinary degree enabling registration with the RCVS
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
