Assistant Shop Manager – Withington (Part Time, 3 Days per Week)
Fixed Term Contract – 6 Months (Potential for Extension)

Our Withington SVP Shop is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Shop Manager to join our friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Shop Manager to maximise sales, create an outstanding customer experience, and help our shop thrive as a welcoming space for the local community.
About the Role
As our Assistant Shop Manager, you will help ensure the smooth and efficient running of the shop, taking responsibility for day‑to‑day operations when the Shop Manager is not present. You will support with:
- Maximising sales, donations, Gift Aid and overall shop income
- Ensuring the shop is always fully stocked with high‑quality, well‑presented items
- Supporting online selling activities when needed
- Helping to recruit, train and motivate our fantastic team of volunteers
- Providing outstanding customer service, creating a warm and positive shopping experience
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and organisation
- Handling cash safely and following all SVP policies and procedures
This role is perfect for someone who loves retail, enjoys working with volunteers, and is passionate about the values and mission of the SVP.

- Retail experience and a track record of achieving sales targets
