The predicted salary is between 10 - 13 £ per hour.

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team for 5 hours every Thursday. In this role, you will help prepare and cook food in line with Food Hygiene Regulations, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and provide excellent customer service in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and serve food following Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and assist with equipment upkeep
  • Support and supervise volunteers ensuring safety in the kitchen
  • Assist with stock rotation and safe storage of food and beverages
  • Help with deliveries and ensure efficient use of food/drink stock
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist with occasional events

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience in catering or hospitality
  • Good understanding of food hygiene and Health & Safety processes
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to our ethos and values
  • Experience in the voluntary sector or supporting volunteers
