We are recruiting for a Marine Superintendent to support the delivery of safe, compliant and commercially effective towage operations for our operations in Liverpool. This is a pivotal operational role within the port management team. You will provide marine expertise across vessels, crew and compliance, ensuring operational continuity, safety standards and customer satisfaction are consistently met. What You’ll Do

  • Support day-to-day marine operations to ensure vessels, equipment and personnel meet operational and safety requirements
  • Drive operational efficiency in line with company operating standards, with strong focus on Health, Safety and Environment
  • Provide regulatory oversight, ensuring marine crew certification and training meet national and company requirements
  • Coordinate training and development of deck personnel
  • Work with Technical Engineering teams on vessel transfers and crew familiarisation
  • Maintain accurate crew records
  • Process operational invoices and support commercial activities as required
  • Deputise for the Port Manager when required

About You

  • Seagoing background with shore-side marine experience or similar
  • Strong understanding of maritime rules, regulations, ISM Code and ISPS requirements
  • Knowledge of certification standards, document control and Manila amendments
  • Operationally credible and comfortable making decisions under pressure
  • Commercially aware with the ability to support local contract delivery
  • Strong administrative discipline and systems capability
  • Full UK driving licence

You will need to be pragmatic, organised and confident working across operational, compliance and commercial priorities. If you’re ready to take accountability for operational excellence in a dynamic port environment, we’d like to hear from you.
