Key Responsibilities
- The Tug Master will be responsible for safe, efficient operations and maintaining a high standard for Svitzer vessels.
Specific Responsibilities
- Operate safely during assisted ship operations and coastal towage in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safety culture on board at all times and that all crew use the available tools.
- Administer all shipâmanagement activities, including timely safety and operational reporting and record keeping.
- Coordinate closely with Marine Managers, Harbour Pilots and other stakeholders to plan and communicate towage operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum Master certificate.
- Experience with ASD propulsion.
- Harbour/terminal and coastal towage experience essential.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- UK driving licence.
- Applicants must provide a copy of their ENG1 and COC with the application.
Primary location is the Tyne, but applications from across the UK are welcome. The role involves a 2âweeks on/off rotation living aboard the Ormesby Cross.
