Job Summary:

SV Design is looking for a personable, motivated, and organized individual to join our Chatham residential team. As an architectural designer, you will be working primarily on mid to large-sized high-end residential projects. You will be the draftsperson for your projects and responsible for quality, coordination (in-house and externally), and schedule.

Qualifications:

• This is an in-office position at our Winchester, MA location. Any interested candidate must be within reasonable commuting distance of this location.

• A professional degree from a U.S. accredited architecture program or equivalent

• 0-6 years of professional architecture experience with a focus on residential projects

• Ability to communicate ideas in sketch form

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office are required

• Collaborative, team mentality, and open to listening to and considering the views of others

• Ability to take direction from senior staff

• Detail oriented with excellent time management skills and the experience to be efficiently productive

• Must take pride in producing high-quality work and be motivated to do your best

• Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities:

• Ensure SV Design’s project standards, professionalism, and creativity are conducted for all work

• Performs design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work

• Draft and review existing conditions including measurement and documentation of buildings

• Hand drafting and computer rendering during schematic design

• Create CAD architectural drawings or Revit model based on existing building dimensions and sketches

• Pick up redlines on all phases of various projects

• Assist project managers with selections sourcing, errands, schedules, and prepares presentation boards

• Produce design development drawings and work with architect(s) to ensure that drawings reflect design intent

• Follow projects through the design development and construction document phases

• Review construction documentation for accuracy and completeness, including construction sets and shop drawings
