Are you an experienced leader ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with learning difficulties? SV Care Services Ltd invites you to join as a Registered Manager to open and manage a brand new 8‑10 bed provision in Brightlingsea. This service will support children with learning disabilities and complex needs, offering them a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where they can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Oversee full operational management of the home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted standards.
- Lead on care planning, safeguarding, staffing, quality assurance, and home development.
- Ensure the children receive high‑quality, person‑centred care tailored to their individual needs and developmental goals.
- Build a positive, professional culture—mentoring, motivating, and developing staff to deliver consistent, trauma‑informed care.
- Act as a strong advocate for the young people and represent the service in professional networks, regulatory inspections, and multi‑agency settings.
- Take responsibility for the home’s financial and administrative performance, ensuring sustainability and growth.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience managing a children’s residential home, preferably for those with learning difficulties, ASD, or complex needs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, inspections, and quality standards in line with Ofsted.
- Proven experience in managing staff teams and supporting their development.
- Confident in safeguarding, care planning, and working with multi‑agency professionals.
- Budgeting, rota management, and risk management experience.
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Current Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Proficient with digital care systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
