Location: Hadleigh, Suffolk & Hybrid Working (3 days in office and 2 days at home) During the training period (approximately 2-3 months) the Technical Administrator will be required to travel to and work from our office in Witham.

Salary : £30000-£35000 p. a. depending on experience Client is looking for a strong administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills.

Main purpose of the job: The Technical Administrator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Technical Department, ensuring the efficient delivery of technical services, training programmes, warranty documentation, product information, and customer support activities.

The role is pivotal in maintaining accurate technical records, coordinating key processes, and supporting both internal teams and external customers.

  • Main tasks of the job: Technical Administration
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Technical Department.
  • Manage and maintain technical documentation, databases document management systems, ensuring records are accurate, current and compliant with company standards.
  • Support the creation, filing and management of technical reports and project documentation.
  • Produce warranty documentation in line with company procedures and customer requirements.
  • Support with preparation of technical presentations, reports and performance data.
  • Coordinate the preparation and dispatch of product samples and maintain sample inventories and records. Customer Service and Complaints
  • Assist with the management of the Technical Inbox and customer enquiries, ensuring customer enquires are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
  • Coordinate responses to technical requests, liaising with technical specialists as required.
  • Log, track and administer customer complaints through to resolution, including monitoring complaint progress and recording all actions.
  • Escalate technical issues and complaints appropriately within the business.
  • Support investigation processes by collating relevant information and documentation.
  • Assist in recovering credits and ensuring complaint records are maintained accurately. Training Coordination
  • Organise internal and external technical training courses.
  • Liaise with customers, approved contractors and training providers regarding course bookings.
  • Maintain training records and attendee databases.
  • Support operative accreditation and renewal programmes.
  • Assist with administration associated with CITB and other industry training requirements. General Department Support
  • Assist Technical Managers with special projects and department initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for audits, accreditations and compliance activities.
  • Assist with process improvements and digitisation initiatives within the department.
  • Support the implementation of company policies, procedures and management systems.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience: Essential Previous experience in an administrative or coordinator role.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Power Point.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Strong customer service mindset and professional approach in dealing with customers and colleagues.

Proactive and self-motivated.

Strong team player with the ability to work independently.

Commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

Desirable Experience within the construction, roofing, insulation or building materials sector.

Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce.

Experience using Share Point or document management systems.

Understanding of warranties, technical documentation or quality management systems.

Experience coordinating training programmes
