Technical Sales Co-ordinator * Salary: £30-33K - OTE plus quarterly commission / OTE £38K+ * Hours: 8.30am – 5pm * Contract: Permanent * Location: Near Bishop’s Stortford (office based). Due to location, own transport is required About the Role We’re looking for a warm, commercially minded and highly organised Technical Sales Coordinator to become the commercial focus within our Technical Delivery team. You’ll take ownership of opportunities from the first enquiry through to quotation acceptance. That means understanding what the customer needs, making sure the right information is gathered, coordinating surveys and proposals, and keeping the conversation moving until the work is ready to hand over for delivery. You won’t be expected to produce technical specifications or complex quotations alone. You’ll work closely with our Technical Lead, Quotations Coordinator, engineers and Client Account Managers, bringing together their expertise and turning it into a clear, responsive and well-managed customer journey. This would suit someone with experience in sales coordination, internal sales, business development support or a customer-facing commercial role. Heat network experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is that you can build relationships, follow up confidently, manage several opportunities at once and take real ownership of getting things over the line. About You You’re warm, credible and customer-focused, with the confidence to ask good questions and follow up without being pushy. You enjoy bringing order to a busy pipeline and you take satisfaction in helping customers and colleagues reach a clear outcome. You’re proactive, curious and comfortable taking ownership. You can manage competing priorities, keep accurate records and communicate clearly with both technical colleagues and non-technical customers. Most importantly, you follow through on what you say you’ll do and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team. Skills and Experience Essential * Experience in sales coordination, internal sales, business development support, account support or another customer-facing commercial role. * Experience managing several live opportunities, actions and deadlines at the same time. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * The confidence to qualify opportunities, ask effective questions and follow up professionally. * Excellent organisation, attention to detail and reliable follow-through. * Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft 365, together with good general numeracy and data accuracy. Desirable * Experience in heat networks, energy, utilities, M&E, facilities management or technical services. * Experience supporting bids, quotations or client proposals. * Familiarity with structured sales processes, pipeline reporting and conversion measures. * Experience using Monday, Joblogic or similar workflow tools. * A full UK driving licence and flexibility to attend occasional client or site meetings. Training and Support We don’t expect you to arrive knowing everything about heat networks or our technical services. We’ll give you the training and support needed to understand our systems, services and processes, and to build confidence in the sector.
