Automation Process and Projects Engineer Location : Hadleigh, Suffolk Salary : up to £55K plus excellent benefits package The primary purpose of this position is to take a lead role in the development of the Automation systems, both in terms of maintaining existing systems and the optimisation for the whole production plant at Hadleigh. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential on Entry A degree or HNC in Electrical Engineering is preferred although equivalent Automation experience will be considered. Qualification with experience of Electrical and Safety design of new Equipment. Experience in the installation of Electrical systems, both Infrastructure and Machinery. Experience in the planning and management of complex multi-disciplinary projects. Strong understanding of Manufacturing systems with particular knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems preferable. Skills in Focused Improvement, FMEA/problem solving are essential. Strong PLC capabilities and background with Siemens S7 PLC and code writing is required for this role – preferably with a mixture of process and machinery background Experience of working in teams to maintain and improve equipment and assist with breakdowns. Experience of writing risk assessments and method statements or Standard operating procedures. Capable of developing New PLC, HMI/SCADA, Database Code or portion of Code from scratch or following existing standards Experience of motor, drive and inverter technologies Experience in communications protocols such as Ethernet (UDP/TCP) and CAN Experience of automated electro mechanical servo motion in fast moving plants and machinery such as conveyor systems, saws, packaging and labelling equipment is essential. Skills in programming, analysing, fault finding, problem solving and modifying automation software are essential. Essential in Role Safety qualification such as IOSH Managing safely or equivalent Qualification and experience of PUWER regulations and assessments. Desirable NEBOSH General Certificate A good understanding of World Class Manufacturing. This client is unable to offer sponsorship
