Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive Location: Bedford (Office-Based / Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £40,000–£60,000 per annum + Bonus + Excellent Benefits You must have the right to work in the UK for this role and no visa/sponsorships can be offered Our client, an award-winning and nationally recognised law firm, is looking to recruit a talented Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its expanding team in Bedford. You will manage a varied Private Client caseload, with a particular emphasis on probate and estate administration, covering both taxable and non-taxable estates. You will join an experienced and supportive team, working alongside specialists with STEP, TALL and ACTAPS qualifications, as well as a Court of Protection Panel Deputy. They may offer support with professional development including STEP funding for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities of the Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive * Manage a caseload of Private Client matters, primarily probate and estate administration. * Handle both taxable and non-taxable estates. * Advise clients on wills, lasting powers of attorney, trusts, taxation and estate planning. * Deliver excellent client care while building and maintaining strong client relationships. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental development and business growth. * Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, professional regulations and internal procedures. * Supervise and support junior team members where appropriate. The Ideal Candidate for the role of Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive * Solicitor or Legal Executive qualification. * A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) * Strong experience in probate, estate administration and Private Client matters. * Excellent communication and client-facing skills. * A proactive, commercially aware approach to managing a caseload. * The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
