About SV Law
SV Law is a specialist public law firm renowned for its work in education law. The firm’s Founder also serves as Convenor of the Local Authority Special Educational Needs (LASEN) Network and Chair of the Education Law Association (ELAS) charity. SV Law is entering an exciting phase of growth, and this role is central to supporting the Founder and helping drive the business forward. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Executive Administrative Assistant to support the Principal across legal, business, and personal responsibilities. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with prior administrative experience — perhaps in a small law firm — who is confident juggling admin and operational tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Support
- Provide high-level administrative and organisational support to the Founder & Principal.
- Attend meetings (in-person and online), take accurate notes, and summarise actionable follow-ups.
- Manage complex diary scheduling using Microsoft Outlook.
- Draft, edit, and send professional emails on the Founder’s behalf.
- Project & Time Management
- Help structure and manage the Founder’s workload by tracking and prioritising tasks and deadlines.
- Coordinating input from the wider team.
- Time-boxing deliverables to ensure execution.
- Support the Founder in staying focused on high-priority legal, business, and strategic tasks.
- Inbox & Communication Management
- Monitor and triage the Founder’s inbox.
- Draft responses, chase follow-ups, and manage client/stakeholder communication.
- Legal & Office Administration
- Record time on legal matters and hearings using Clio, the firm's case management system.
- Handle document preparation, physical filing, printing of court bundles, and secure shredding.
- Assist the Office Manager with administrative tasks such as billing and compliance.
- Personal & Life Admin Support
- Assist with the Founder’s personal life admin and logistics — including appointments, errands, and in-home setup.
- Provide regular in-person support at both the Ealing home office and Impact Hub Euston office, based on a fixed weekly schedule.
Skills & Experience
- Essential: Previous experience in an administrative or assistant role, ideally in a small or high street law firm.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities; confident managing a varied and fast-paced workload.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word; familiarity with Clio (or similar legal platforms) is a plus.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential and sensitive matters.
- Must be based in or near London, with easy access to both Ealing and Euston.
