Our client is an Enterprise SaaS provider with industry-leading solutions and a prestigious customer base, backed by leading private equity investors, growing, and profitable. The VP Marketing (Marketing Director) is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s marketing strategies to drive lead generation, customer engagement and revenue growth across the business units.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of marketing professionals, collaborating with cross-functional departments and contributing to the overall business strategy.
  • Working closely with senior leadership to establish marketing goals, initiatives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Managing brand and messaging for the Group and ensuring that marketing activities support and achieve their goals within budget constraints.
  • Developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.
  • Providing thought leadership and vision to drive brand awareness, product marketing, and customer acquisition.
  • Managing and mentoring a team of marketing professionals, ensuring continuous professional growth and performance.
  • Developing and managing the annual marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and maximising ROI.
  • Overseeing brand positioning, messaging and visual identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials and channels.
  • Leading the creation and execution of integrated communication strategies, including public relations, content marketing and social media.
  • Analysing market trends, customer insights and competitor activities to inform marketing strategy.
  • Conducting market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and behaviours.
  • Developing and executing marketing campaigns to generate qualified leads and drive customer conversion.
  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Regularly reporting on marketing performance to senior leadership, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Skills / experience required:

  • 15+ years’ marketing experience in enterprise software with proven experience in a senior leadership role.
  • Industry experience in Enterprise SaaS is required; analytics or security monitoring would be highly desirable.
  • Product Led Growth motion experience (PLG motion) focusing on products to drive growth.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary marketing teams and budgets.
  • Demonstrated previous success in developing and executing marketing strategies that lead to measurable business growth.
  • Hands-on experience of Digital Marketing and the latest techniques including MarTech stacks.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
